How it works
Grant writing is a team sport. Over 4 months, you’ll get the training and live time with Shoshana to build up your grant writing team. The trainings will be asynchronous, so each team member can watch at the time that is best for them, and then we’ll meet approximately every other week for one hour to land it for your organization, answer questions, and map out your action steps for the week. We’ll build the systems and skill sets your team needs to hit your grants goals.
All live videocalls will be recorded, so you can share the recordings any team members who aren’t able to join live. And you’ll keep both the asynchronous trainings and the live recordings, in case anyone joins your grants team later.
I will also be available via email in between our sessions to give you my hands-on support for all the grant writing work you are doing, as well as to troubleshoot and answer any time sensitive questions that pop up. You’ll have my support ongoing for the 4 months.

II. LEADERSHIP COACHING

This coaching will give you the extra oomph to enhance your fundraising strategy, expand your donor pipeline, and secure the funding your organization deserves. The funding intensive asks you to commit to your fundraising goal. For this, we recommend at least one person dedicate at least 2 days a week to attending the calls with me and doing the work. This level of commitment is necessary for any grant writer to be successful at grant writing, be it on their own or with the support of a program like this.

Proposals are approved based on the believability of the applicant, the competition, the technical correctness of the proposal and the story it tells. I get you set on, and am expert at, the last two. The first is up to you (though I will certainly let you know if I spot areas for strengthening here) and the second is unknowable. What I can guarantee is this: if you put in the work to participate in the training and coaching calls and do the homework, by the end of the 4-months you will have submitted multiple proposals and will be well on your way to achieving, and potentially even exceeding, your fundraising goals.
